White people love a conspiracy theory because it’s easier for us to accept the idea of an oppressive ruling class of secret imaginary lizard people from another plane of existence controlling the planet than it is for us to take responsibility for our long, bloody and ongoing history as the true oppressors of this world.
on-fucking-point. It’s also much easier to imagine vast reptilian conspiracies than it is to parse the crushing banality and pervasiveness of true evil.
This is bullshit because both rappers and old black dudes are often really into conspiracy theories about the illuminati and ufo’s etc.
